Like Hixon, Sintim is a two-time, consecutive-season loser in the ACL department. Only therapists and doctors that know their situation have a good grasp as to whether they can make it all the way back this year. The other problem is that they've missed alot of time, and forgotten alot of football from a physical standpoint. I give Hixon a better chance than Sintim, only because he's achieved some success on the Giants in the past.

I don't think he's big enough to play DE. I'd say if he gets cut, he should look to catch-on with a team that uses a 3-4 scheme as a Buck linebacker.

So is this what you do Tyreeder - go from blog to blog looking for something to be critical of? I've never even seen you here before. The only thing I get from your point is that you don't get mine. Whoever said anything about Graham's draft position? I'm talking about what he's achieved in the NFL, and guarding against those expectations with Robinson. I have no problem with us taking him. And BTW "overdrafted" means in comparison to a consensus of where he'd probably be drafted. Does that spell it out clearly enough for you? Next time, try reading the article first then you'll understand the context of people's posts. Or don't you have time for that in your travels around the blogosphere?

Hey CJ--
You write with " schematic superiority ".... And to put it " bluntly but completely accurately " KillDrive Doesn't use the TE as an Offensive Weapon.... ELI does, on a 4th read Scramble !!! the Giants O schematic, really only has 1 TE recipe, SEAM route.... Every other play the TE is 3rd-4th- last Option..... A-Rob will get to Block this year, when he see's the field.... 3 passes Top's......
O' And Beckum is a HUGE Disappointment, like his 3rd round draft buddy, Barden, who is getting paid $1.5M this year to ride the bench, thats alot more than CRUZ & BlackBurn !!!
A-Rob does have a Few good T'ings going for him--
1. He will be fighting for Beckum's Job.
2. ELI will be throwing him the Ball !!!
3. Mike POPE
4. Time to Learn w/ Bennett in front of him
5. REESE's BFF 2013 Project Player
6. He only has 1 play to learn.
7. He gets the #81.
the UGLY TRUTH--
1. He was a reach at the 4th round.
2. He has to learn 62 different BLOCKing Assignments.
3. R. Randle is going to be a Monster !!!
And the one missing piece in an otherwise potent passing attack, is Not a Hybrid TE, it's a RUNNING GAME !!!!!!!

No need to start drinking Kool-aid during rookie minicamp. Its also important to note that we don't use the TE like the Saints or Patriots. All he needs to do is block well and catch passes every now and then.

I am actually more excited about Martellus Bennett.

Potential, sure. But I've seen alot of articles like this about AdrienRobinson. I remember the same thing happened to Ramses Barden after he was drafted. It raised the fan expectation level to the point that when immediate results weren't achieved, people wondered what the problem was.

So let's do a reality check:
- This kid was over-drafted.
- If not for Mike Pope's endorsement, he would have been taken in the late rounds.
- He caught only 12 passes last year.
- He will probably do very little for the Giants.

There - now if we think of ARob in that context, he could very well exceed all of our expectations. If we think Gronk, Jermichael, and JGraham; he won't.

I don't care "who" the MLB is as long as he can run sideline to sideline with some speed and stuff RB's there or in the middle of the field. I would also love if he can drop into coverage to protect our middle on pass routes, which has been a sieve over the last several seasons. When teams attack the Giants, normally that is the first place they look to take advantage of. I don't see Blackburn as an athletic improvement in that aspect of protecting our middle. Eventually, someone like Williams or Boley who can actually run will have to be the person who can take over that role.

Still around, yes, but probably not for long. In my opinion, the Sintim strong side LB experiment has failed, and they should move him back to DE to be Tollefson's replacement or cut him. The man I would like to see playing the strong side is Herzlich (assuming Kiwi is ever moved back to DE permanently). Herzlich doesn't seem suited for the MLB position, but I think strong side would utilize his skills best.

The one thing you have to love about these defensive players that Reese has collected is the versatility most of them have. This really gives Fewell a lot of options and schemes to work with he wouldn't normally have.

Truly sad and I actually think the Giants took a shot at his recovery. I saw him in a drill and it seemed obvious that football was not in the cards. Chad has amazing spirit and his football career, on the field, is over. I hope he does catch on as a coach.

Not surprised at this decision at all.

Blackburn has the most experience at the position and was part of the Super Bowl squad in 2008 with Umenyiora, Tuck, Tollefson, Kiwanuka, DeOssie, Manning, Booth, Mackenzie, Diehl, Jacobs, Bradshaw, Ware, Tynes, Aaron Ross, and Corey Webster.

This is the year for the Giants to develop the Mike of the future and I hope Jacquian Williams can be that guy.

I was just going to say the same. DeCastro will beat-out Ramon Foster before the regular season begins. At the tackle positions, Adams may not overtake Jonathan Scott or Willie Colon so soon, but Steeler OTs have a way of getting hurt seemingly every season.

I have seen the Giants team member Dan DePalma who was on the Giant's practice team the past season, play for his college, West Chester U. The kid is amazing and runs like a deer. I hope he gets his chance to show his stuff the coming season. He is the Giant's secret weapon.

I thought Canty's knee was just "cleaned-up", according to your 2/24/12 article. I figured that means scar tissue, lost surgical instruments removed, so-forth. Was this a big deal?

I have less issue with signing guys like Jackson and Hill as UDFAs because if they mess-up their lives again, the Giants aren't on the hook to them for years to come. As for Benson, I never said anything about his criminal past. Others yes, but not Benson. I didn't want Benson because I preferred that we get much younger in the backfield. I also perceive him as a bit of a whiner. I see that the dude likes to fight a bit too, doesn't he? I notice that no one has picked-up the 29 year old yet.

I had no answer at #32. I wanted Glenn, but knew he wasn't a Gmen type lineman. I also wanted Upshaw, but I knew if they didn't have a deal in hand for Osi, we would be way too many DEs, even for our standards. I kinda wanted OT Jonathan Martin too, but his numbers at the combine were so awful, it was clear he was over-hyped. There seemed to be no clear-cut choice. I thought Doug Martin was a bit over-valued by some, even though he looks the part of a versatile back the Giants could use. But when you consider two things with him, he doesn't look so perfect in a Giant uniform:

1 - He was usually removed on obvious passing downs at Boise, so maybe his blocking and receiving aren't quite as good as everyone thinks.
2 - The level of competition he played in the Mountain West Conference was poor, as illustrated by his paltry yards per carry average against ranked teams - 2.38 YPC.

I think in selecting David Wilson, we took the better back.

At the time of the Giants choosing Wilson, Mel Kuiper declared this was a panic move by the Giants, and alot more people than just you ran with it. Sometimes these talking heads like to claim they know more than anybody else and over-think the room. You may have heard this theory from a variety of draft sources, but look at history: The Giants' organization doesn't over-react - they never have. I truly believe that they were on the phone until the end of their allotted time to see what options they had, feeling that the guy on the top of their board (Wilson) may still be there a few picks down the road. If they were panicking over the Doug Martin pick, doesn't it stand to reason they would have selected Wilson right away?

I'd be surprised if Mike Adams and/or David DeCastro don't crack the starting lineup at somepoint this year. I agree that, unless due to injury, it won't be during the season opener but the Pittsburg had some holes in that O-line last year and if Big Ben can't stay upright consistently, Tomlin won't hesitate to pull the trigger on these guys.

I'm waiting for Mickster and the rest of haters to come out and denounce this signing. It's funny how we bring in guys like Janzen and Will Hill and I don't hear a peep.

But when I talk about brining in a Cedric Benson for veteran depth, you come out of the woodwork talking about his "criminal past" (even though he has been acquitted of pretty much everything).
